Time and being away

One clock runs for every player, at real speed. An hour in the game is an hour. Nothing can be skipped, and no minute of the day is worth more than another.

What happens
Vehicles keep driving their routes
Producers make goods until their storage is full, then stop without loss
Markets use up their stock, while other companies sell and prices move
Workshops sell and pay wages at each settlement
Housing pays rent and wears
Lots expire, and the days to collect run

Nothing is capped by a timer. What limits your earnings while you are away is room: the storage of a site, the capacity of a vehicle, the stock a market takes.

The first screen after an absence is a card that sums it up: sales, revenue, wages and upkeep, parked vehicles, full sites. Each alert has a button that leads to its place. The history lists every stop of every vehicle for the last 30 days.

A company that nobody opened for 14 days goes dormant at its next settlement. Its vehicles park at their next stop, its sites fill and stop, and nothing is charged. When you sign in again, everything starts from where it stood, and the card explains the pause.

A company cannot fall forever. Its cash stops at -€10,000. See Money and the day.

Sites do less at night, by the local time of their place. See Day, night and upgrades.

Producers follow the calendar: more in August and September, less in January and February. See Sites.
