Your first hour
You sign in, pick how your company starts and where, and your first vehicle is on the road within two minutes. This page follows that hour.
Pick a start
Section titled Pick a startYou pick one of three starts. Each is worth about the same. A start is taken once and cannot be changed later.
| Start | You get | Your first minutes |
|---|---|---|
| Farmer | €38,000, a |
The pickup leaves at once and sells its load at the town market. The farm keeps growing. |
| Dispatcher | €36,000, a |
One pickup is under way with freight of a freight job. You send the other one to a job or a rush order. |
| Founder | €82,000 and nothing else | You build your first site and buy your first vehicle yourself. Your first producing site starts with 6.0 t of its good. |
The farmer is the gentle start: it shows the whole loop without a decision. The dispatcher earns from jobs and owns no site that produces. The founder is for players who know what they want to build.
Pick a town
Section titled Pick a townYou can start in any of the 194 towns with a market. The start panel lists up to 3 towns near you, none further away than 150 km. It is a hint. Click any town on the map to pick it.
For a farmer each town states the grain price it pays a new company. For a dispatcher it states the first freight job of the day.
Your town sets your home region. You can build in every region later.
Pick a spot (farmer)
Section titled Pick a spot (farmer)A farmer picks one of up to 3 spots for the farm. Each spot states its drive to the market, as in "5 min to the market, 3.2 km". The game looks for spots 2 min to 5 min from the market, so your first sale comes fast.
The first sale
Section titled The first saleThe pickup of a farmer starts loaded and leaves when you start. When it arrives, it sells its 2,000 kg of grain at the price of that moment.
In a town of 50,000 inhabitants at its starting stock that sale pays €324, and the price drops from €0.163/kg to €0.161/kg. Your load moved the market. Markets and prices explains how.
The vehicle then drives back, loads again and repeats its route on its own.
A floor under your first week
Section titled A floor under your first weekFor your first 7 days a town pays you at least 80% of the base price of a good, for the first 30 t you sell per day. A full town cannot ruin your first week. After that you are paid the price of the board like everyone else.
Follow the guide
Section titled Follow the guideThe guide is a card in the Overview. It names one quest at a time, says how the quest is done and opens the right place with "Show me". Its six quests can be done in any order.
| Quest | How | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| First sale | Give a vehicle a route that sells a load at a market, or deliver a job. | €500, 2 RP |
| Rush job | Open the jobs, take a rush order of a town and deliver it. | €800, 3 RP |
| Second town | Sell a load or deliver a job at a second market. | €1,000, 3 RP |
| Freight | Open the jobs, take a freight job and deliver its freight. | €1,000, 3 RP |
| Second vehicle | Buy a second vehicle for one of your sites. | €1,500, 4 RP |
| First research | Spend research points on your first node of the research tree. | €1,000, 5 RP |
The guide pays €5,800 and 20 RP in all. The first node of a branch costs 5 RP to 40 RP, so your first research falls inside this hour.
What to do next
Section titled What to do next- Buy a second vehicle. A farm grows 4.0 t per hour. One pickup on a short route moves most of it, a longer route does not. See Vehicles.
- Sell in a second town. Your first town fills up within days and pays less. The route editor shows what each market pays now.
- Take a rush order. Every town near your sites posts one per hour. It pays a premium and takes a few minutes. See Jobs and rush orders.
- Research your first node. Light fleet and Dispatch desk are the cheapest. See the Research tree.
- Pick a path. Four rows of quests open after your first node: hauler, producer, trader and builder.
