Jobs and rush orders

A job is work a town offers. It is the income of a company that owns vehicles and little else, and it fills a vehicle that would drive back empty. All jobs are in the Jobs view.

Every town market offers 3 freight jobs per day: a load of 2.0 t to 24 t for one of its 8 nearest towns.

  • Taking. You take a job by picking the vehicle that drives it. Any number of companies can take the same job, each once.
  • Carrying. The vehicle collects the freight at the first town and delivers it at the second. A small vehicle drives several times.
  • Pay. €40 per t plus €3 per t and km of road, paid at the delivery. A job over 30 km of road pays €130 per t.
  • Deadline. 24 h from the taking. What you deliver later pays 50%.
  • Dropping. You can give a job back while none of its freight is on a vehicle.

The Jobs view marks a job that starts in a town where one of your routes already stops. That is a return load.

Every town market also offers one supply contract per day: it orders 10 t to 80 t of a good it buys, at 1.1 times the base price.

  • You see contracts for the goods your research has opened.
  • A route brings the good from your sites and hands it over with the stop action "deliver".
  • The price is fixed. The delivery does not move the stock or the price of the market.
  • You have 3 days. What you deliver later pays 50%.

A contract trades the peaks of the market price for a sure sale. Take one when a town near you is full.

Every town posts one rush order per full hour. It is small, it is due soon and it pays a premium. You see the rush orders of the towns within 60 km of one of your sites.

Kind Load Pays Due
Good order 1.0 t to 6.0 t of a good the town buys, from your own stock 1.4 times the base price of the good 45 min after the full hour
Express freight 1.0 t to 3.0 t of freight to one of the 3 nearest towns 1.5 times the pay of a freight job over the same road 1 h after the full hour
Air freight 0.5 t to 3.0 t of freight from an airport to a town within 100 km 2 times the pay of a freight job over the same road 3 h after the full hour
  • A town posts a good order in one hour and express freight in the next.
  • The order is due at its time of the clock, whenever you take it. What arrives later pays 50%.
  • For a good order the game picks the load site: your nearest site that holds the good.
  • Air freight needs the node air cargo and a site within 100 km of the airport.
  • The node priority freight adds 0.2 to every premium: a good order then pays 1.6 times the base price.

After a job or a rush order the vehicle parks where it delivered. Give it its route again.

Freight jobs and supply contracts share the limit of open jobs. Rush orders have their own.

The pay of every job is revenue, so it earns research points. Jobs also count for the hauler path of the quests.
